KTR executes demolition of illegal constructions
After Telangana Chief Minister KCR has said to demolish the illegal constructions in the state, Minister KTR has taken a plunge with an action plan.
Around 28,000 illegal constructions officially, were found in GHMC, among which most of them were constructed on storm water drairs, nalas and on encroached tanks. It resulted submergence of many colonies due to recent heavy rains in Hyderabad.
As politically influenced builders are involved in the encroachment of water bodies, none of the previous governments declared the demolition of the illegal constructions. But the Telangana government did not mind to go against such constructions.
To speed up the demolitions, special police teams were also formed in the city. Demolition is ongoing in several parts of the city. KTR set the deadline and targets to every GHMC official in the demolition task.
