Telangana Chief Minister KCR said that he cannot keep up the promise of constructing double bedroom houses for the Mid Manair expats. 

Construction of double bedroom houses for the poor in the state is one of the popular schemes, KCR brought during the 2014 elections and even kept his promise and offered double bedroom houses to several poor people in the state.  

Expecting that the same would be possible even in the case of Mid Manair expatriates, KCR assured them double bedroom houses, while implementing land acquisition in those areas.

But the CM is now apologizing Mid Manair expatriates, saying, "I assured to give double bedroom houses, only due to lack of awareness. As all those residents were allotted houses under relief and rehabilitation (R&R) package, they cannot be allotted double bedroom houses again. We are ready to pay the compensation and will provide assistance to expatriates in all the situations."
