It seems, Monsoon would not compromise in the near future in Hyderabad. Heavy rains here refused to take a back seat. 59mm of rain is recorded in just a span of 12 hours from Thursday.
Ponds, lakes, even Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad and few other water bodies are overflowing. These rains can be attributed to the low pressure area over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, which has further intensified into a well-marked low pressure area.
Adding to it, the system will continue to move in west direction, moving closer to Telangana state. This is making Telangana including Hyderbad flooded by rains, during the next 48 hours as well.
Not Just Hyderabad,considering this, the weathermen have put Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Nalgonda, Mahbubnagar and Medak on high alert, expecting that they would witness heavy rains.
Meanwhile, after the flash floods marred the Guntur region, Guntur-Hyderabad highway has also been cut off. This even made several trains plying on this route
Even National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Indian Army were alerted, owing to the increasing flood situation in the city.
