Nayeem case: Police under probe seek leave
Not just the retired IPS and senior officials, but even Policemen in the Telugu states are touted to have links with the gangster Nayeem. While the probe is ongoing, a few of the policemen are trying to take leaves, but all the applications reportedly were put on hold.
Before serving notice to the policemen, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officials have initiated cross-checking of names of police officers who have links with Nayeem and his illegal activities.
“We want to collect solid evidence to establish the role of policemen who were hands in glove with Nayeem,” an SIT official said.
Regarding this, the officials sought the police custody of Nayeem’s family members and other close associates. According to the sources, it was revealed that, few police in various departments are unable to share their grievances with their colleagues.
