Rules simplified for double bedroom flats construction
As per GO No. 168, at least one acre of land with 40 feet road is needed to construct double bedroom flats. But, the Telangana government is finding tough with the implementation of the scheme with that rule. Resolving this, the government had released a new GO, with which a quarter acre (1,200 yards) and 30 feet road will be enough to construct a building.
The latest GO further allows six metres distance between two blocks of apartment complexes. 15 percent of area for parking and 5 percent of the area for the playing of the children and another 2 percent for shopping and other such facilities is proposed in the fresh GO.
The sources reveal that as the rules are simplified, the tender process for the double bedroom flats would start.
