Salaries of the Chief Ministers and other government employees are more than the President, the latest survey revealed. The President gets a salary of Rs. 1.5 lakh per month and Vice President Rs.1.25, State governor Rs. 1.10.

After the 7th Pay Commission pay hikes the salaries, reportedly, the Cabinet Secretary will get Rs. 2.5 lakh per month, implying that, it is higher than the salary, President of India receives.

To adjust this situation, the Home Secretary is considering a proposal of revising the President’s Pay. The President's salary was last revised in 2008 when it was hiked by three times, from Rs 50,000. 

The 7th Pay Commission Panel’s report recommended 15% hike in basic pay of central government employees, including the armed forces, the police force, and more, and the overall hike will be 23.55%, which was accepted after much ado. 

Coming to the salaries of the Chief Ministers in the country, Telangana Chief Minister KCR is standing first in the list, receiving Rs. 4,21,000 per month and Telangana Assembly MLAs are receiving Rs. 250000 per month.
