Jagga Reddy arrested, his indefinite fast halted
Congress leader Jagga Reddy who tried to protest against Telangana government’s Mallanna Sagar project, has been arrested by Medak police.
After the High Court has dropped down G.O.123, Telangana government made an appeal to the Court, for which the Court responded positively. This did not go well with the opposition parties.
Especially, Jagga Reddy, stepping a head further, has decided to protest against the government, demanding to implement 2013 act for paying the people getting affected through land pooling, unlike G.O.123.
But as Jagga Reddy was denied the permission for the indefinite fast he aimed at, Medak police has stopped him from conducting the fast and thus arrested him.
