While the Telangana government has put a deadline for the new districts to be Dussehra, regarding this, CM KCR, has chaired a review meeting on it, instructing the officials to issue a notification about the new districts, after August 20th.  

“No consideration should be given to political demands with regard to the new districts and each and every one of them should be based on administrative convenience and how best the new district administrations can serve its people,” KCR told the meeting.

Other biggies who attended the meeting are finance minister Etela Rajendar, chief secretary Rajiv Sharma, R&B minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, special chief secretaries Pradeep Chandra, SK Joshi and Raymond Peter, principal secretary, CMO, S Narsing Rao. All these have reviewed the work done on district reorganization. 

KCR also said that a cabinet sub-committee comprising deputy chief ministers Md Mahmood Ali, Kadiyam Srihari and ministers Nageswara Rao, Etela Rajender and Jupalli Krishna Rao will monitor all the work related to new districts' creation.
