Hyderabad hosts World IT Congress in 2018
Telangana IT minister KTR has confirmed that the state government along with NASSCOM (The National Association of Software and Services Companies) will jointly host the 2018 World Congress on Information Technology in Hyderabad.
KTR has announced that, India had won the bid to host the prestigious annual event in 2018. In the beginning, India had a competition with Taiwan and Armenia, but finally India witnessed victory in securing the bid for the World Congress.
However, the dates are yet to be finalized for the event, but Jim Poisant, the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), Secretary General, has announced the final decision and to help India make the necessary preparations required for the upcoming event.
