Finally, India has got its first Mr World title and Rohit Khandelwal is the person, who was awarded it. 

The pageant was held in Southport, UK, which witnessed 47 participants. Rohit is a popular actor, television personality and model from India, who won Mr World 2016 and thus achieved the credit of being the first Indian to do so. He even was awarded the cash prize of $50,000.  

Speaking after winning the title, Rohit said, “My family, friends and my fans have been a constant support for me and this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my well-wishers.”

Hyderabad born Rohit reportedly has done his graduation at Aurora Degree College and worked as a SpiceJet ground staff in the beginning and then as a technical support assistant for Dell Computers. He went on to act in a couple of TV series, and audiences may remember him as Veer from Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Sreedhar from Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya.
