On the occasion of Guru Purnima, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST) in Shirdi is celebrating its annual three-day Guru Purnima Utsav with religious rituals and cultural performances by nationally-acclaimed artistes. 

Being one of the popular festivals of Shirdi Sai Baba, devotees in large numbers have turned to Shirdi and so the temple will be open for 24 hours. Bajirao Shinde, CEO of SSST said that, the trust has made all arrangements to ensure law and order in the premises. 

“Guru Purnima is one of the four annual festivals celebrated by Shirdi. Devotees across the world consider Sai baba as their Guru. They visit the temple during these three days to offer prayers and seek blessings,” Shinde said. 

Keeping in mind the rainy season, the trust even made appropriate arrangements for it. “We have identified three villages on Ahmednagar-Shirdi road where temporary shelters have been installed for devotees coming in the procession. All three shelters are water proof and comfortable,” Shinde said. 

Shirdi temple will be celebrating the 100th year of Samadhi (death anniversary) of Sai baba from 2017 to 2018.
