Shamirpet-Ghatkesar outer ring road has completed all its construction works and came into the full fledged use of the public. IT minister KTR, who has started this ring road today, has spoken to the media later, saying that, it is prestige issue to have 158 km outer ring road in Hyderabad. The minister said that, it costed Rs. 5304 crores to complete the road construction, adding that, the government would complete the construction of 71 km service roads by next year. 

Outer ring road will have 316 km of service road, KTR said, adding that, the government would provide LED lighting from Gachibowli to Shamirpet. “We would provide 13 growth corridors around the outer ring road, along with the satellite townships. Keeping future generations in mind, 292 kms of regional ring roads will be built, KTR said, lauding the officials for planting the saplings around the new ring road.
