Telangana ranks 2 in single women travelers
Telangana is the second highest single-women travelers in India, according to the survey conducted by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. Punjab tops the list, for having the highest number of single women travelers.
On June 29th, 'Key Indicators of Domestic Tourism in India' has released the report. Out of the 11 lakh individuals, 60 percent of the women preferred overnight trips between July 2014 to June 2015. In case of Punjab, the figure is 66%.
The survey states that, Telanganites are more broadminded than the people of the other states. The people here are welcoming the idea of single - women travelling, which is a good trend indeed.
In fact, these stats can develop an idea in the minds of the government officials, to promote the tourism in the state. Don’t you think so?
