Farmers green signal to Mallanna Sagar project
Mallanna Sagar project is one such project Telangana government is considering as prestigious, but had to face difficulties from the farmers, who are reluctant to surrender their lands, to the government for it. Finally the farmers have now came forward to support the land acquisition being conducted by the Telangana government for the Mallanna Sagar project.
Etigadda farmers who from the beginning are against the land acquisition now got ready to surrender, after irrigation minister Harish Rao has accepted to introduce the G.O.123, through which the government is supposed to pay Rs. 6 lakhs per acre. Harish Rao said that, the government would adopt Etigadda and Krishnapur villages, thanking them for accepting to surrender their lands.
