Hyderabad metro rails from Diwali
The most awaited Metro Rail Project in Hyderabad will begin on Diwali this year, the sources say.
The works of Nagole-Mettuguda (8-km stretch) and Miyapur-SR Nagar (12 stretch) have been completed and is ready to kick start the operations. Telangana government has already been approached by L&T and the Chief Minister KCR, has given his consent to launch the operations from this coming October.
Miyapur-SR Nagar stretch is yet to get its Railway Safety Certification, but the L&T is confident of getting all the required clearances before Diwali. However, the certification is just a formality and would be issued after the inspection. So it is almost confirmed that, Hyderabadis can make their first trip on the Metro Rail on this Diwali.
