Telangana IT minister KTR has complained against AP government, for allegedly copying the information filed by Telangana government for ease of doing business (EoDB) ranking to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). 

Regarding this, KTR has met Union minister of state for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman, complaining in writing, with the proofs of alleged ‘e-theft, protesting against the behaviour of AP. He also explained the means adopted by certain states to top the EoDB rankings.

“The EoDB rankings will help the state bring transparency in administration and reduce red tape in granting permissions to industries. The spirit of EoDB is getting affected when some states are trying to resort to unethical practices,” KTR said.

He also appealed to the Union minister to give priority to those states which bring qualitative changes at the field level, unlike those which resort to the unethical means.
