MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that, his party would provide legal aid to the five terror suspects, NIA (National Investigation Agency) arrested recently.

After conducting the raids in several places in Hyderabad, it is known that NIA had detained 11 people in June 29th, for allegedly having IS links. Five of them were arrested and sent to jail on June 30th. 

“We never supported terrorism and we will never do it,” Owaisi said, claiming that he was the first Muslim leader in India to come out openly against IS. He reiterated that IS has nothing to do with Islam.

MIM leader said those who left India for Syria, to join IS, are cowards. “We will remain here and continue our democratic fight for rights. We will die here but will not leave.”

He further denied the media reports saying that, arrested youth were planning to throw meat in the temples, adding that, NIA’s remand report does not contain any such point.
