Till now, several protests were held, demanding to declare Janagama as a separate district, now the Congress leaders have launched a new protest, demanding to declare Gadwal too as a fresh district. 

Former Minister Congress MLA, DK Aruna has come on to the roads, at Erravalli. Alampur MLA Samapath Kumar, came as a support to the lady official and it was then, the large number of Congress activists gathered at the venue and boosted the protest with loud slogans and disturbing the traffic. The police, who tried to arrest Aruna and Sampath Kumar, found it tough to over cross the activists and finally completed the task.

On the other hand, demand to make Janagama as district headquarter has been on high and protest is ON, which is organized by JAC. The protestors even attacked MLA Matthagiri Yadagiri Reddy’s house throwing stones at the glasses. With the police chase, all were later escaped from the spot. Observing all these situations, it might lead to a new movement in the state, the analysts opine.
