KCR aims Olympics in Hyderabad, sends team to Rio
Telangana Chief Minister KCR is chasing Olympic dreams. The state government is taking steps towards hosting at least a few Olympic events in Hyderabad in 2028, if India is successful in bidding for the 2028 Olympics.
Rio Olympics are scheduled to be happened in August in Brazil and targeting this, TRS government had decided to send 4 member team, asking them to study and examine the infrastructure facilities that are required to host the Games.
As per the revised Olympic norms, apart from the host city, other cities in a country can hold various Olympic events. Basing this, even if New Delhi is declared as the host city for the 2028 Olympics, Telangana government wants Hyderabad to be the front-runner among other cities.
