According to the police, Naxals triggered a minor blast on a road-side in Khammam district, but reportedly none were injured in the incident.
“It was a minor blast wherein explosive material planted in a device or tiffin box exploded last night on the road connecting Cherla to Pusuguppa. No one was injured nor any property was damaged in the minor blast. We also unearthed an electric wire connected to a pipe, besides recovering some posters mentioning that Maoists had called for ‘bandh’, protesting the killing of three ultras in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra recently," Venkatapuram police official said, adding a case was registered in this connection.
A week before, three naxals were killed in an encounter near Venkatapur village forest area under Aheri tehsil in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.
