Telangana to join UDAI scheme
Telangana Chief Minister KCR has informed the Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal that the state would join the Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana (UDAI) scheme of the Central government to bail out power distribution companies from losses.
Mr. Goyal earlier has urged the Telangana government to join UDAI when he called on CM at his camp office. The duo discussed at length, the consequences of participating in the scheme.
Speaking about the LED lights, KCR said that, 12 municipalities and 26 nagar panchayats in the state were already using LED for street lighting. The usage would be further promoted throughout Telangana, he added.
