Referring to discussions he had with Telangana protagonist Prof Jayashankar and other Telangana leaders, Rama Rao said Vittal’s work had figured prominently in the discussions. Both of them went nostalgic about their association with Jayashankar sir.
Meeting the economist at his residence in Banjara Hills, KTR enquired about his health and also his routine and was surprised to know at his passion for reading and writing even at this age. He lauded Vittal for his simple lifestyle and for being a role model even to the present generations.
