RTC and electricity hikes in Telangana
Telangana Chief Minister KCR has completed discussions with the RTC, Singareni and Electricity department officials.
As a part of the meeting, CM made the following proposals.
- Rs.1 bus charges hike on Palle Velugu Buses and rest other buses would experience a hike below 10% on the current rates.
- No hike to the households using 100 units of power and above 100 units’ users will witness slight hike.
- For industries the electricity hike is 7%
- Government is allocating Rs. 75 crores to the RTC every month.
- RTC should be paid Rs. 500 crores, regarding the discount costs.
- The government has spent Rs. 2700 crores to buy DISCOMs for the power, last year.
- KCR further said that there would be meeting in the future to strengthen Singareni.
