98% of beggars in Hyderabad are fake- Bonthu Ram Mohan
Mayor Bonthu Ram Mohan has declared war on the beggars in Hyderabad, asking the citizens, not to donate money, alleging that 98% of the beggars in the city, out of the total 14000, are fake.
Mr. Ram Mohan further said that, the beggars in the city are making the turnover of Rs. 24 crores yearly, and with this, they are getting into other illegal businesses like money lending, prostitution, drugs etc. Not stopping there, he further added that, the government would provide rehabilitation to the identified true beggars in the city.
Aiming at beggar free city, Bonthu even gave few helpline numbers- 9908111355, 9441746906, 9866289793, seeking the public, the information about the true beggars, for providing the rehabilitation.
