Telangana Chief Minister KCR, has reached up to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to replace Hyderabad with Karimnagar as the smart city. Agreeing the CM’s request, Modi’s government has included Karimnagar in the smart cities list and decided to develop the same under the project.
As there is already enough development in Hyderabad, KCR felt that capital city do not have that requirement and so suggested Karimnagar.
While the Centre said that, it has performed a lot of groundwork to pick the cities to develop as smart cities, a small request from KCR through letter and the immediate acceptance of it, is digging out fresh speculations on the relation between KCR and Modi.
