14 months deadline to Kaleshwaram project works
Irrigation minister Harish Rao said that, the tendering process for the Dindi lift irrigation project in Nalgonda district would be initiated next week.
Harish Rao asked the officials to complete all the works related to the Kaleshwaram project within 14 months. He also instructed them to create an additional ayacut in the district, adding to complete all the pending modernisation of Nagarjuna Sagar project works by July 2016. It is known that, Dindi project has been taken up for quenching thirst of people in Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar.
The irrigation minister later, had inquired about the progress in land acquisition at Devadula, mid Manair, Bhakta Ramadasu, Nettempadu, Kalwakurthy, Bhima and Akkampally reservoirs.
