309 college buildings constructed in 3 years: Kadiyam
Telangana Dy. CM and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari along with Endowment Minister Indrakran Reddy inaugurated newly built junior college buildings in Jannaram and Kasipeta mandals of Manchiryal district and one in Nirmal district center on Tuesday. On this occasion, he said that he will request CM KCR to extend the mid-day meals scheme to junior colleges also keeping in view of students’ poor financial background. He said his government is constructing own buildings for government colleges and providing facilities like libraries, furniture etc. with the Rs.385 crores loan brought from Nabard. He said total 309 college buildings were constructed out of 404 planned during last three years. Hence there is tremendous growth in students’ admissions in government colleges. He said that his government is determined not only to develop infrastructure but also wants to improve quality of the education.
