Finally Rapist Baba gets punishment
Gurmeeth Ram Rahim Singh, the chief of Dera Sachcha Soudha of Haryana has been sentenced with 20 years jail term in connection with two rape cases that way backs to 2002. Panchakula CBI Court Judge Justice Jagdeep Singh pronounced the verdict after hearing the arguments of both sides in a special bench arranged inside Sunaria Jail in Rohtak district on Monday.
Gurmeeth Singh pleads the judge with tears for mercy before pronouncement of verdict. He appealed the judge to consider the social services that he rendered to society in large scale all these years and reduce the punishment.
However, the judge agreed with the prosecution arguments and sentenced the rapist baba with 20 years jail term. Hence, his lawyers are going to challenge the verdict in the combined High Court of Punjab and Haryana tomorrow.
Tight security arrangements were made around Rohtak jail and also many places in Haryana, Punjab and some places in New Delhi also.
