1 megawatt is the capacity of the charging stations and each of these buses will run for 200 km, on battery, with no question of fuel emission, noise and air pollution. According to the data collected from other states, where these electric buses are already in use, it found out that, the operational cost of these buses is almost 50% less than the diesel ones. While the operational cost of diesel bus was Rs 18 per km, the electric bus would cost Rs 9 only.
