Modi, Donald trump impact on stock market

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and USA’s newly elected President Donald Trump, showed a huge impact on the stock market in India.

After Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes were banned, the Sensex crashed 1600 points while Nifty plunged 476 points today. Not stopping there, according to the market estimates, Investors in India lost over Rs. 7 lakh crores.   

BSE Sensex ended with a loss of 339  points at 27,253. The BSE Sensex opened at 26,251, touched an intra-day high of 27,397 and low of 25,905.

The NSE Nifty closed with a loss of 112 points at 8,432. The NSE Nifty opened at 8,068, hitting a high of 8,476 and low of 8,002.

On the other side, the US dollar sank and stock markets slammed into reverse in trade today, as the investors faced the real possibility through the victory of Republican Donald Trump that could upend the global political order.

Every new exit poll in the US presidential election showed the race to be a nail-biter, sending investors stampeding to safe-haven assets.
